Application Fee

The application fee is Rs.1,000 for General, UR, OBC, EWS and other applicable candidates, Rs.500 for SC and ST candidates, and Rs.300 for Divyang candidates. Payment can be made through the credit card, debit card or net banking options available on the Commission's payment gateway.

Note: If you need to submit a fresh application due to an error in the earlier form, the fee already paid will not be refunded or adjusted against the new application. A payment is considered successful only after confirmation from the bank. Age Limit

For the urban primary school posts, candidates must be 21 to 40 years old as on July 1, 2026. For the aided primary school posts, the Commission has prescribed only a minimum age of 21 years as on the same date, while the retirement age for these posts is 62 years.

Note: The Shiksha Mitra category receives an upper age relaxation of up to 60 years under this recruitment. However, the notification provides this benefit only as age relaxation, with no additional weightage or separate quota for Shiksha Mitras.

Also, Category-based age relaxation is available only to candidates who are original residents of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates from other states who hold SC, ST or OBC certificates issued by their respective states will be treated as General candidates for this recruitment and will not receive category-based age relaxation or reservation benefits.

The caste certificate for a woman candidate must be issued on the basis of her father's side. A certificate showing the candidate's reserved-category status through her husband will not be accepted.

Educational Qualification

For the urban primary posts, candidates need a graduation degree from a university established by law in India, or an equivalent recognised qualification, along with the prescribed teacher training qualification and a valid TET qualification for Classes 1 to 5 conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Government or the Central Government. For the aided primary posts, candidates must have graduation along with BTC or D.El.Ed from an NCTE-recognised course and must have passed the TET for Classes 1 to 5 conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Government or the Central Government.

Note: Candidates holding a B.Ed qualification should check the prescribed training qualifications carefully. B.Ed is not listed among the accepted training qualifications for either post under this advertisement. Candidates who qualified UPTET Paper 1 on the basis of B.Ed cannot use that qualification to meet the training requirement for this recruitment. The Commission has also stated that it will not provide individual eligibility advice.
*The date of birth will be considered only as mentioned in the High School certificate. No other document will be accepted as proof of age, so any difference between the date on your Aadhaar and High School marksheet will not be considered for correction later.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of a single written examination. The exam will carry 360 marks and contain 120 objective-type questions, with a duration of two hours.  Each correct answer will carry 3 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong or multiple answer. The question paper will be available in both Hindi and English, and candidates will mark their answers on an OMR sheet using a black ball-point pen. There will be no interview, separate qualifying cutoff announced in advance, or weightage for academic marks. The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in this examination.

Tie-Breaking Rule: If two candidates secure the same marks in the written examination, their graduation percentage will be considered first. If the graduation percentage is also the same, the percentage obtained in the prescribed training qualification will be compared. If the scores remain equal after both comparisons, the older candidate will be placed higher in the merit list.

Note: The examination will be conducted over two days, 3 and 4 December 2026. If the exam is held in multiple shifts, the marks will be normalised as per the Government Order dated 19 June 2024 and the Commission’s notice dated 26 February 2026.

> Scribe facility= Divyang candidates requiring a scribe must register at the Commission office in Prayagraj at least one week before the written examination and arrange their own scribe. Eligible candidates will receive 20 minutes of extra time per hour. No travel allowance will be paid to the scribe.
> Exam centre= Examination centres will be established at district headquarters, and candidates may be allotted any available centre.
