Note: Horizontal reservation across the recruitment includes 21 posts for women across the 13 disciplines, with the highest share of six posts in Agricultural Engineering. No PwD or Ex-Servicemen reservation is available in the other disciplines.

Application Fee

The application fee is Rs.25 for all candidates, consisting of a Rs.25 online processing charge with no separate base fee. Unreserved, OBC, SC, and ST candidates all pay the same amount.
Candidates such as freedom fighter dependents, Ex-Servicemen, women, Persons with Disabilities, and outstanding sportspersons also pay Rs.25 based on the applicable base category. Payment can be made through credit card, debit card, Net Banking, UPI, or SBI e-Challan.

Note: The Rs.25 application charge is not the only fee involved in this recruitment. Age Limit

The same age limit applies to all 13 Senior Instructor disciplines. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and not more than 40 years old as on 1 July 2026, which is the reference date for all posts under this recruitment. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, and other eligible categories can claim upper age relaxation as per the applicable Uttar Pradesh government rules.

Note: The 40-year upper age limit allows candidates with substantial work experience to apply. Preference is given in case of a merit tie to candidates with three years of teaching, training, or extension experience, two years of Territorial Army service, or an NCC ‘B’ certificate.

Educational Qualification

Agricultural Engineering
Candidates applying for Agricultural Engineering must have a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering with at least 50% marks.

Plant Protection, Horticulture, Agronomy, Soil Science and Agricultural Extension
Candidates need a B.Sc. (Agriculture) with at least 50% marks. The preferred postgraduate specialisation varies by discipline: Entomology or Plant Pathology for Plant Protection, Horticulture for Horticulture, Agronomy for Agronomy, Soil Science for Soil Science, and Extension or Agricultural Economics for Agricultural Extension. These specialisations are considered for preference in case of a merit tie.

Animal Husbandry
candidates must have either a B.Sc. (Agriculture) or B.V.Sc. (Animal Husbandry) with at least 50% marks. A relevant postgraduate degree is considered a preferential qualification.

Women Welfare
candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Home Science, Home Economics, Nutrition, or Food with at least 50% marks.

Cooperation and Panchayat
For Cooperation, candidates must have a postgraduate degree in M.Com (Economics), M.Sc. (Agricultural Economics), or M.Com, with at least 50% marks and for Panchayat, candidates must have an M.A. (Economics), M.Sc. (Agricultural Economics), or M.A. (Sociology) with at least 50% marks.

Agriculture
Candidates must have a postgraduate degree in Agriculture from a university established by law in India, with at least 55% marks. This discipline has the highest minimum percentage requirement in the recruitment and carries only one vacancy.

Public Health
candidates must have a graduate degree along with a Sanitary Inspector examination certificate recognised by the Uttar Pradesh government.

Production
candidates must have a degree or diploma in Agricultural, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, along with at least two years of relevant experience.

Selection Process

The Main Examination is the only selection stage that carries marks, and there is no interview for these posts. Candidates are selected based on their performance in the written Main Examination, while the applicable 2017 Uttar Pradesh recruitment rules do not provide for an interview.

Part 1 carries two-thirds of the total marks, making it the most important section for preparation, particularly for rural development and analytical topics. Part 2 and Part 3 together carry 35 marks, so they should be prepared accordingly.
Candidates appearing for the Main Examination have already been shortlisted based on their normalised PET 2025 scores, category-wise, at around 15 times the number of vacancies. Qualifying for the application stage means clearing this initial screening, while the Main Examination will determine the next stage of the selection process.
The notification does not mention a separate Document Verification (DV) stage after the written examination. However, candidates who qualify may still be required to produce their original certificates and documents at a later stage for verification, as applicable to the recruitment process.
