Selection Process
The selection process for this recruitment includes Online Written Test, Screening, Local Language Proficiency Test (where applicable), and Personal Interview. Note: The Online Written Test includes negative marking, with 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer, and candidates need to clear 40 percent in every individual section for General and EWS categories, or 35 percent for reserved categories, and scoring well overall alone is not enough if the required sectional qualifying marks are not achieved.
Candidates who qualify in the Online Written Test will be called for Screening, followed by the Local Language Proficiency Test (where applicable) and finally Personal Interview. The Personal Interview carries 50 marks. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by the bank, which are 45% for SC/ST candidates and 50% for candidates of all other categories.
Salary, Job Location and Service Conditions
Selected candidates will be appointed in the Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I) pay scale of βΉ48,480 to βΉ85,920, and also salary includes annual increments as per the bank's pay structure. In addition to the basic pay, officers are eligible for Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) or bank-leased accommodation, City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Leave Fare Concession (LFC), medical benefits, and other allowances and retirement benefits as per the bank's rules.
Candidates can apply for only one state under this recruitment and after selection, they will be posted within the same state and will remain in the allotted state until completion of nine years of service or promotion to SMG Scale-IV, whichever is earlier. Selected candidates will be on probation for two years and must sign an indemnity bond to serve Punjab National Bank for at least 3 years.
