Who Should NOT Apply and Why

Avoid if you cannot handle hospital shifts, night duties, or frequent transfers. Not suitable if you want pure desk jobs or quick high salary without patient care.
Is This Job Good for Freshers?
Yes, 100%! Freshers with required Diploma/Degree can apply directly. No prior experience needed. Railways provide on-job training. This is one of the best entry points into government healthcare jobs.
Is the Salary Worth It?
Definitely. Government job security, free medical treatment for family, railway travel passes, house rent, and regular DA hikes make it far better than private hospital jobs. In 5β7 years it becomes very comfortable.
Promotion & Career Growth
Start as Nursing Superintendent / Pharmacist etc. Clear departmental exams and get promoted to Senior roles, Chief Matron, or even Group-B Gazetted posts. Steady growth for 30+ years with 7th CPC revisions.
Previous Year Cutoff
Exact cutoffs for CEN 03/2025 will come after CBT. In similar past RRB Paramedical exams, UR category needed 55β70 marks (out of 100), SC/ST around 35β50. Cutoffs vary by post, RRB, and vacancies.
Comparison with Similar Jobs
Better than state government paramedical posts or ESIC/AIIMS contractual jobs because of central pay, lifetime pension, and railway benefits. SSC Paramedical or NHM jobs may have similar salary but less security and perks.
Common Application Mistakes Students Make
- Not downloading city slip immediately and missing travel planning
- Using wrong login details on exam day
