The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the updated vacancy details for CRP-RRBs XV as on 09 September 2026. The total indicative vacancies have now increased to 13,745, with the increase coming in the Office Assistant (Multipurpose) vacancies. IBPS has published the revised vacancy annexure on its official website. The revised annexure shows 8,222 vacancies for Office Assistants (Multipurpose), including 1,200 vacancies in Uttar Pradesh, 900 in Andhra Pradesh, 750 in Telangana and 600 in Odisha. Registration for the Common Recruitment Process for Regional Rural Banks (CRP RRBs XV) has opened on 1 September 2026. The overall vacancy count may increase once these figures are reported, similar to what happened in the previous two recruitment cycles.

Important Points:- The application fee must be paid online using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, IMPS, or Mobile Wallets. Any transaction charges are to be borne by the candidate. Educational Qualification

*One clear difference in the eligibility criteria mentioned above is that Office Assistant and Officer Scale I do not have any minimum percentage requirement in the prescribed educational qualification. All the other posts, starting from General Banking Officer, require at least 50% aggregate marks along with the required work experience. 

Selection Process

The post-wise examination structure, pattern and syllabus for the recruitment are provided below:

Note: A 0.25 mark penalty is applied for every wrong answer in the objective tests, while unanswered questions carry no negative marking. Candidates must also clear the prescribed qualifying marks in each section separately, along with the required overall score where applicable. A strong total score alone is not enough if a candidate falls below the sectional cut-off in any one section.

A few important rules related to shortlisting and preparation of the final merit list are given below. These rules vary according to the three examination types and their respective posts: 

The Personal Interview is conducted only for Officer posts and carries 100 marks and candidates must secure at least 40% marks, with the qualifying requirement reduced to 35% for SC, ST, OBC and PwBD candidates.
For Officer posts, the final merit list gives 80% weightage to the written examination and 20% to the interview. The written exam therefore has a much greater influence on the final result, although candidates must still meet the minimum qualifying marks in the interview.
For Office Assistant, there is no interview stage. Selection moves directly from the Main examination to provisional allotment, based on the candidate's marks and the vacancies available in the state applied for. This makes the Main examination the key stage for Office Assistant selection.

Salary, Job Location and Service Conditions

IBPS has not specified the basic pay, allowances or gross in-hand salary for the posts in the recruitment notification. The pay structure of RRB employees is governed through periodic bipartite wage settlements, so the allowance structure may vary slightly between individual RRBs even for the same post and scale.
