Candidates holding an MBA or PGDBM from a recognised state or national university get preference over other graduates, however, this works only as a tie-breaker and not a separate qualification or examination requirement. A degree obtained through any recognized mode of education, including distance learning or open learning, is accepted.

Microbiologist (Food Safety and Drug Administration, UP)

For the Microbiologist post, candidates must possess a postgraduate degree in Microbiology from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government, along with at least 3 years of experience in microbiological testing of food. Candidates who have served at least two years in the Territorial Army, or who hold a National Cadet Corps 'B' certificate, will get preference among otherwise equally placed candidates.

Note: one-third of the marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer in the objective paper, and also marking more than one option is treated as a wrong answer.
