Agniveer General Duty (GD)
- You need to pass Class 10th or Matric from a recognized board. You must have at least 45% marks in total in the five main subjects. Also, get minimum 33% marks in each of those subjects. If your board uses grades, check for equivalent like 'D' grade or C2 overall.
Agniveer Technical
Pass Class 12th or Intermediate in Science stream. Subjects must include Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and English. Get minimum 50% marks in total aggregate and at least 40% in each subject. Or, you can do Class 12th plus a one-year ITI course in a related trade.
Agniveer Clerk / Store Keeper Technical:
Pass Class 12th in any stream like Arts, Commerce, or Science. You need 60% marks in total aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject. English and Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping must also have at least 50% marks in Class 12th.
Agniveer Tradesman (10th Pass)
Just pass Class 10th simply. No need for high total percentage, but you must score minimum 33% in each main subject.
Agniveer Tradesman (8th Pass)
Pass Class 8th. No aggregate percentage rule, but aim for at least 33% in the basic subjects if you are in the age group.
Agniveer GD Women Military Police for female candidates only
Pass Class 10th with 45% total marks and 33% in each subject. Having a Light Motor Vehicle driving license gives you extra preference during selection.
Sepoy Pharma
Pass Class 12th plus Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) with around 55% marks. Or do Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) with 50% marks. You must have valid registration with the State Pharmacy Council.
Soldier Technical Nursing Assistant
Pass Class 12th in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Need 50% total marks and 40% in each subject. If you studied Botany and Zoology instead of Biology, that is also okay.
JCO Religious Teacher
This depends on your religion. For Hindu, you need qualifications like Sanskrit Sahastri or Acharya with knowledge of Karam Kand. For Sikh, a Bachelor's degree plus Gyani in Punjabi. Christian candidates must be ordained priests. Muslim need Alim or Urdu Mahir. Buddhist need to be ordained monks. Check exact details for your religion in the notification.
Other Important Rules
All candidates must be Indian citizens and unmarried males or females Physical standards are very important.
For most posts for male like GD and Tradesman,
- height is around 169-170 cm,
- chest 77 cm with 5 cm expansion.
For Technical and Clerk,
- height is often 162-165 cm.
- Run test is 1.6 km in 5 minutes 45 seconds or close.
- Other tests include pull-ups (around 10),

For women
- run time is longer like 7 minutes 30 seconds, with long jump and high jump.

When you get selected as an Agniveer in the Indian Army for 2026, you will get a special salary package for your 4 years of service.
1st Year: Monthly package is βΉ30,000. After some deductions 30% goes to Seva Nidhi fund, your in-hand salary is around βΉ21,000 per month.
