Written Test is only qualifying in nature and its marks are not added while preparing the final merit list. After qualifying the Written Test, candidates will be shortlisted for the Viva-Voce in a 1:3 ratio, based on their Stenography Test mark, and not their written test performance.
> Tie-Breaking Rules: If two candidates get the same total marks in the Stenography Test and Viva-Voce, preference will first be given to the candidate with higher marks in the Stenography Test, but if the tie still remains, then the older candidate will be placed higher in the merit list.

Salary, Job Location and Service Conditions

Selected candidates will receive a pay scale of ₹22,000 to ₹97,000 with a Grade Pay of ₹9,700, along with other admissible allowances as per the applicable Government rules. Candidates should also note that this recruitment follows the Assam State Govt. pay structure. Therefore, the salary should not be directly compared with the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) pay levels used in Central Govt. recruitments.
