 ◾️Preparation Tips for Success

  • Master the Typing Skills: Since 200 out of 250 marks in the Written Test come from typing tests, regular practice on the Remington Gail keyboard layout (for Hindi) and standard QWERTY (for English) is crucial. Aim for 95%+ accuracy in both languages.
  • Strengthen Computer Knowledge: Focus on MS-Office basics, internet fundamentals, and computer terminologies.
  • Practice Bilingual Grammar: Both English and Hindi grammar carry significant weight. Brush up on grammar rules, vocabulary, and common errors.
  • Stay Updated: If a Preliminary Test is conducted, current affairs and Bihar-specific general knowledge will play a vital role.
  • Time Management: The Written Test gives only 50 minutes for 250 marks. Practice mock tests under timed conditions.
  • Document Preparation: Keep all required certificates ready well in advance. Issues with caste/NCL/domicile certificates often disqualify otherwise eligible candidates.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: I have a degree from IGNOU. Am I eligible?

Yes, absolutely. IGNOU is UGC-recognized. Distance education degrees from recognized universities are acceptable. Don't worry.

Q2: My computer certificate is from a private institute affiliated with a state university. Is it valid?

Check carefully—if the university's computer department issued it directly, yes. If just the private institute issued it with university logo, probably not. Call the recruitment helpline to confirm before applying.

Q3: I'm 37 years 2 months old on 01.08.2024. Can I apply under general category?

No. Sorry. Maximum age for general male candidates is EXACTLY 37 years on 01.08.2024. Even one day over makes you ineligible. Check if you qualify under any reserved category with higher age limit.

Q4: Can I apply for both male and female reserved vacancies?

No. Female candidates apply against female reserved posts + female quota in general posts. You can't apply in male category. The system won't allow it anyway.

Q5: I paid the fee but didn't receive confirmation. What should I do?

Wait 24 hours. Seriously. 90% of "payment issues" resolve within a day. If still not updated, contact the helpline number mentioned in the notification. Don't pay again immediately.

Q6: What is the typing speed requirement?

Specific typing speed requirements will be announced at the typing test stage. Generally, court jobs require 30-35 WPM in English or Hindi. Start practicing now if you're slow.

Q7: Can I change my exam center after application submission?

Typically no. The system doesn't allow changes after final submission. Choose your center carefully during application. However, the final exam center might be assigned by Patna High Court based on availability.

Q8: When will admit cards be released?

Based on previous patterns, admit cards are usually released 10-15 days before the exam date. Keep checking the official website regularly. They'll send SMS/email also.
